The Sound of the Holy Ghost | Screaming Balloons

What you need:
- 2ea 24” – these can be purchased at Amazon at the link below or can usually also be found at Walmart in the party section.
- 1ea 36″ balloon – these can be purchased at Amazon at the link below or can usually also be found at Walmart in the party section.
- Some Hex nuts – the ones that screw onto bolts and can be found in your garage or just about any store (¼” seem to work well)
Preparation:
- Blow up one of the 24” balloons and tie it off without putting anything inside of it.
- Have a 2nd not yet blown up 24” balloon set aside along with a couple of hex nuts.
- Blow up a 36” balloon and put a couple of hex nuts inside before tying it off. Place this out of sight until needed.
Lesson:
The bible in Acts chapter 2 says that on the day of Pentecost they were all waiting for a promise. They were together in an upper room, gathered together in one accord, in one place.
Suddenly something incredible began to happen. The Holy Ghost began to be poured out.
Acts 2:1-8
- And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
- And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
- And they were all filled with the Holy
Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. - And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.
- Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came
together, andwere confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. - And they were all amazed and
marvelled , saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans? And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?
When the Holy Ghost was poured out, there was a CERTAIN SOUND! The people that were around, heard it and responded to it!
They began to gather together, saying that all these people were drunk but Peter stood up and said they were not drunken like they thought they were but what they were seeing was the promise of Jesus being fulfilled!
HOLD UP A BALLOON WITH NOTHING INSIDE AND BEGIN TO SWIRL IT AROUND
When you have nothing inside of you, when things begin to happen in your life, you don’t have anything to rely on. you don’t have anything to lean on and there is nothing inside of you for those around to take notice of!
You are not a witness and you can’t help them change because you are still looking for answers yourself.
But when you get full of the Holy Ghost! When God put a piece of Himself inside of you, you gain a source of power that is absolutely unbelievable!
DROP A COUPLE OF HEX NUTS INTO ANOTHER 24″ BALLOON AND THEN BLOW IT UP AND TIE IT
ONCE YOU HAVE THE BALLOON BLOWN UP AND TIED OFF, BEGIN TO SWIRL THIS BALLOON AROUND IN A CIRCULAR MOTION AND YOU WILL HEAR IT START TO “SCREAM”. THE FASTER YOU SWIRL IT, THE LOUDER THE SOUND IS!
When things begin to happen, those around began to take notice because now you are giving off a certain sound. They can tell that you are different. You don’t act like everyone else does. You have joy when you should be sad. You don’t act the same, talk the same and dress the same as everyone else.
They will want to know, “WHAT MAKES YOU SO DIFFERENT!”
And then you can begin to tell them… it isn’t me… it is Jesus inside of me and you can have it to!
But what is REALLY exciting is that we can grow in God and become even MORE full of the Holy Ghost and be even MORE used of God than ever before.
PULL OUT THE MASSIVE, INCREDIBLY NOISY 36” BALLOON AND SWIRL IT AROUND FRANTICALLY. MAKE THIS CRAZY, FUN AND EXCITING! HAVE FUN WITH IT AND THE KIDS WILL TOO!
