- Hard flat surface to spin on

What I have here today is something that represents each one of us.
HOLD UP THE RATTLEBACKS
We all come in different sizes, shapes and colors. We are all different from one another and that’s great. That’s just the way God wants it. He doesn’t want us all to be cookie cutters of one another.
Did you know that even before you get the Holy Ghost that there is something in each one of us that will help us recognize the difference between right and wrong? Does anyone know what that is called?
Yes! It is called a conscience.
The first time you did something wrong you knew you shouldn’t be doing it because you get a feeling inside. Maybe you even feel scared, start to sweat a little bit or begin to panic because your conscience is telling you, “Don’t do that! That’s just not right! Turn back!”
SPIN THE RATTLE BACK THE WRONG DIRECTION AND WATCH IT STOP AND SLOWLY BEGIN TO SPIN THE OTHER WAY
When we try to do something that’s wrong our conscience will help us recognize that it’s wrong and try to turn us around. And that’s a voice that we should be listening to. God gave it to us to help us do right but sometimes if we ignore it long enough, we can dull that feeling and eventually not feel it at all.
But if we say, God, I want to do it your way. Not my way. Let your will be done and not mine He will help us do the RIGHT thing! When you receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, Jesus will help you do the right things. He will never force you to but He will give you the grace to handle situations if you let Him.
SPIN THE RATTLE BACK THE OTHER DIRECTION AND WATCH IT CONTINUE TO SPIN FOR QUITE A WHILE.
When we go God’s way everything is so much easier.
