God will catch you
What you need:
- String
- Dowel rod or equivalent
- Weights that can be tied on a string (machine nuts are ideal)
Lesson:
You tie one or two of the nuts to one end of the string and about 10 of them to the other side. You drape it over the dowel and hold the light end of the string, allowing the heavy end to hang.
You ask the kids if they think the heavy weight would pull the string off the dowel and allow it to hit the floor… they will generally say, “YES”.
Let go and watch the light weight wrap around the dowel and securely hold it in place.
You can teach the lesson that God will never let you fall and will always catch you when you stumble.
