God Can Make Something Even GREATER Out of You!

This can be also be used to teach about anger and self-control. You can talk about the explosive results of not controlling your anger and the damage that it can do to you and everyone around you.

Note: This is the BIG version of the lesson called God Can Make Something Great Out of Your Life AKA Elephant Toothpaste.  For a much easier, cheaper, smaller and safer version using more accessible ingredients, click on the link above.  You can do that version in a room with normal ceiling height.

What you need (BIG Version – BE CAREFUL!!!):

• What I used can NO LONGER be purchased from Amazon.com and must be purchased well in advance (ground shipping only) from Pure Health Discounts (https://www.purehealthdiscounts.com)
  • 500ml 35% hydrogen peroxide
  • 1 quart – ~$38.00 (good for about 2 uses)
  • 1 gallon (much better deal) – ~$54.00 (good for about 8 uses)
• 50ml of water super saturated with Potassium Iodide Crystals – The crystals I used can be purchased from Amazon.com using the link below
  • Potassium Iodide, High Purity USP Crystals, 99.8 % min., 100 grams
• 5,000 ml Erlenmeyer Flask – the one I used can be purchased from Amazon.com using the link below
  • Eagle Y450 Erlenmeyer Flask, 5000 mL
• Gloves
• Whole vial of food coloring
• 25ml of dish soap
• LOTS of care

This one has the potential to be dangerous because the main ingredient, the 35% hydrogen peroxide is potent stuff.  If it touches your skin it will burn rather badly and will turn your skin pure white for 30-60 minutes.  Really weird. It will not cause permanent damage but will feel like little bees are stinging you for a while.

The picture on the right is my hand… that is NOT paint.  That is my skin.  Ouch.

PREP:

Get a smallish container (around 50-100ml or so) and fill with water.  You want to super-saturate the water with the Potassium Iodide crystals  – basically keep stirring it into the water until it doesn’t dissolve any longer and there is some sitting on the bottom of the container that will not go away.  Pour 40-50ml of this solution into a separate container for later use.

NOTE: use less water than you think you will need initially… the solution must be super-saturated so too little water is better than too much.  You can always add more later.

God can make a LOT out of a little.

Sometimes we don’t think we have a lot to offer

You may say, “I am not the smartest or the most talented”

BUT God can make something amazing out of every one of us NO MATTER WHAT!

Here we are

SET OUT 5,000 ml flask

We have so little in our lives

Pour about 500ml of the 35% HP into the flask

We put in our low self-esteem

Add soap

We add all of the problems that we have

Add food coloring and mix it all together by swirling the flask

But GOD is what makes all of the difference. He has a plan for each of our lives.

If we give ourselves to Him completely He can make MORE of us than we ever dreamed was possible.

And now let’s see what God can do with the little we give Him

When you are ready to make it happen, ADD THE POTASSIUM IODIDE SOLUTION AND RUUUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNN!!!!!
