Forsake Not the Assembling of Yourselves
Needed:
- 2 cheap airplanes from the dollar store
- OR EVEN BETTER: One big Styrofoam airplane from Walmart or Amazon.com (see link below to order)
- One assembled, tested and ready to fly
- One still in the package
Lesson:
This is VERY simple but effective object lesson.
Hebrews 10:25 – Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
If you want to fly correctly (go up in the rapture OR be used of God), you MUST be properly assembled together.
Try to fly the airplane that is still in the package or if you are using the big Styrofoam airplane just try to throw it either while still in the package OR take it out of the package and throw it un-asssembled.
When it fails miserably explain that something must have been missing.
Then try to fly the airplane that has been assembled (make sure ahead of time it works well) or take the time to put the big Styrofoam airplane together in front of the kids and then throw it over their heads!
It should fly MUCH better.
Tell you class that you MUST be properly assembled before you can be used the way God intended you to be.
