Drowning Without God – Swimming Eggs

What you need:

• Clear glass cup full of warm water
• Salt
• Tablespoon
• Egg
• Long spoon to get the egg out of the water

Lesson:

Hold up the egg

This represents each one of us and without the help and support of God what happens when we are put into this world? Of course, we sink straight to the bottom and remain there until something picks us up.

Drop the egg into the water and watch it sink straight to the bottom of the cup.

The cares of this world, the things that trouble us, surround us and we feel like we’re drowning. We have no hope of survival! Or do we?

You see some people feel like they have no hope because they’ve never yet given God a chance.

When you allow God to begin to work on your life and do the things that He says in His word you will be shocked by the transformation that can occur.

When you begin mixing the things that God wants us to have and do… when you begin to pray, read your Bible and follow the Plan of Salvation that God has laid out for us which is of course repenting, being baptized in the name of Jesus and being filled with the Holy Ghost you will be transformed.

Put 2 tablespoons of salt into the water and stir it

Now watch the difference! The things of this world do not have the same impact on us that they did before.

Drop the egg back in the cup and you will see that it floats at the top now.

Yes, instead of sinking to the bottom and being buried by the things of this world instead, God will allow us to float above those things that used to bother us. We can live a better life and be so much more than we ever could be without God.

Note: make sure that you use warm water and fill the cup up about halfway. If the egg is still syncing you will need to add more salt. Obviously, practices ahead of times and make sure that it works and then use the same ratio of water and salt in the same temperature of water.
