Lesson:
Now I don’t really want you to answer the question I am about to ask… really… don’t do it except in your head. Don’t say the answer out loud BUT have you ever felt like your life wasn’t going anywhere? Have you ever felt like you are going through the motions and days are slipping by but you aren’t making in any headway in life? Have you ever felt like you are getting older but not necessarily better?
Well, if you HAVE, that is a good sign because it probably means you are human. If you have never felt any of those things then you are probably a robotic or cyborg or something because everyone has probably felt that way at one time or another.
HOLD UP THE GLASS OF MILK
Who here likes to drink milk? Some of you, good! How about this? What would you rather drink, milk or soda? Huh? Dr Pepper, Mtn Dew, Pepsi, Coke, Sprite? Which would you prefer… one of those or this milk here?
Yeah, milk is kind of blah… and it is kind of how our lives can be when we don’t have God. Boring, unexciting, kind of flavorless, colorless, just blah…
A lot of people have the fear that when they finally leave this life that they leave no mark of this world. That when they go they will leave the world unchanged and unaffected.
TASTE IT
And yeah, it isn’t disgusting but it sure doesn’t taste all that great. I would sure enough rather have coffee.
But did you know there is MORE to life than this!? Really! You don’t have to have a boring life. You don’t have to go through the motions day after day and get nowhere. You CAN have a great life and do great things with it! You CAN change your WORLD!
But NOT on your own. You see, God want to re-make us. He made us originally but NOW He wants to recreate us into something that is even better.
John 16:20 – Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.
HOLD UP THE TUBE SHOWING THAT IT IS COMPLETELY EMPTY AND HOLLOW
This represents God… You need to give your life completely to Him. Allow Him to cover us with His spirit and come to live inside of us.
EXPLAIN THE HOLY GHOST AND THEN PULL THE TUBE OVER THE GLASS OF MILK
You see, God can change us completely. He can give us a GREAT life… we give Him what we have and He will give SO MUCH MORE BACK!
For a life of colorless unfulfillment, my God can give us a WONDERFUL life in Him.

PULL OUT THE GLASS OF CANDY

Explanation of the trick
This is a little bit difficult to explain without showing you so for more instruction than what appears below you can check out the video at the top of this article.
The cup is rigged. There is actually a cup within a cup. The candy is preloaded inside the inner cup and is hidden by the milk which is poured into a lining also contained within the inner cup.
When you are ready, you cover the entire thing with the tube and then grab the inner cup with the tip of your finger. When you pull off the outer tube, you are also pulling up on the inner cup and removing it completely which then reveals the candy. You are obviously cloaking this whole thing with the tube.
You must practice this a whole lot before it becomes simple. It took me many many tries until I figured out how to do it smoothly and it even got me in trouble once in front of a live audience because I didn’t take the time to rehearse it ahead of time.
