Be careful what you say
What you need:
- 2 paper plates
- 2 tubes of toothpaste
Lesson:
This is a great lesson to teach how careful we need to be when we speak. You have a race!
Select 2 volunteers. Give each volunteer a tube of toothpaste and a paper plate.
First, have a race to see how quickly they can empty the toothpaste tubes onto a plate. Make this a big production and have the class cheer the contestants on!
This part happens rather quickly and there is a lot of excitement.
The next phase gets really funny. This is when you asked them to put the toothpaste BACK INTO THE TUBE… the excitement is all gone at this point. Now they will likely just look at you blankly or perhaps halfheartedly try.
Explain that this is just like the words that we say. It is so easy and fun to get them out, but trying to get them back is very difficult.
Be so careful about talking bad about people or with gossip! WATCH YOUR TONGUE!
This is a really cool lesson. I used it for a Bible assignment we had at our Christian school
I’m glad you liked it 🙂
