Are You Weak or Strong? | Corrugate the Paper

What you need:

  • Piece of  8.5″ x 11″ paper
  • Small cup about halfway filled with water (or anything of similar weight)
  • Something to hold the paper off the table about 4″ or so (I am using two jars that I just happened to have laying around)

About the lesson:

This is a simple lesson to show how much stronger we become when we live for God.

Lesson:

Hold up a piece of paper

God wants us all to be something for Him but sometimes we feel like we are just too weak. We are just not up to the challenge to do what He wants us to do.

Like this, God may want us to stand up for Him at school and tell those around us about Him but sometimes we are just afraid to do it.

Try to balance a cup of water on top of the piece of paper with the ends of the paper elevated

It just doesn’t work because we are not strong enough but God is good and God can help us.

On the next step, make an accordion fold with every sentence that you make (see the picture if this doesn’t make sense)

  • If we live for Him
  • Do our best to go to church every time the doors are open
  • Pray
  • Read our Bible
  • Try to speak right
  • Try to act right
  • Are careful about the things we think about

God will help us to be strong for Him!

Once you’re done with all of the folds, take the accordion paper and set in the same spot as before. This time when you set the cup (or alternate weight) on it, it will support it.
